Recent advocacy work of the ETAQ management committee:

• In 2025 ETAQ surveyed members regarding changes to the confirmation process for assessors. As a result we wrote to the state education minister and QCAA to report our members’ concerns, and in early 2026 met with QCAA to discuss the findings and QCAA’s response. The president wrote about this advocacy work in Words’Worth
• In August 2026 ETAQ wrote to QTAC in support of the Coalition of Professional Arts Associations’ submission to the QTAC ATAR review
• In September 2026 ETAQ wrote to TATE is support of their struggle against mandated curriculum
• In September 2026 ETAQ spoke out about the national trend of library closures, supporting sister associations ASLA and ALIA
