Karen is relishing her current secondment as Coordinator of Schools Engagement at State Library Queensland. This opportunity allows her to liaise with all education sectors, public libraries, and professional teacher associations in improving access to SLQ's resources onsite and online. Karen is passionate about educational access and equity and supporting Queensland's teachers and students of English. She is a secondary school Deputy Principal, and former Head of Department English and experienced English teacher. For the past 10 years she has presented at AATE national conferences on classroom research focusing on reading, writing and STEAM curriculum.
