The theme for State conference 2026 is Encounters - Encounters with literature, language and literacy and most importantly, with the young people in our classrooms. The program will follow the usual pattern of 2 keynotes and 3 workshop sessions of 55 minutes each. We are excited to confirm that the keynotes will be presented by Pauline Jones, Professor, Language in Education, University of Wollongong NSW and Hedley Thomas, journalist and podcaster who many of you will know from Teachers Pet and perhaps Sick to Death. Interested persons are invited to submit proposals for workshops that inspire, enthuse or challenge. See the Call for presenters for further information. Proposals should be submitted not later than 13 May 2026. The program will be available on Monday 25 May; registrations will open on that day. Early bird registrations close Tuesday 14 July. | Venue: | Lourdes Hill School | | Starting: | 8:30 AM | | Saturday 25th July 2026 | | Ending: | 5:00 PM |
