March Masterclass 2022

We are delighted to announce our first event for 2022 will be the March Masterclass: Writing: Our future  to be held on Saturday 12 March 2022 at Iona College, Lindum, when Dr Sally Humphrey, senior lecturer (Literacy Education) ACU will present the keynote address.

BREAKING NEWS

This event is definitely going ahead, the program  will now consist of:

  • (a) the Keynote,
  • (b) elective workshops including the Extended Writing Masterclass options 1 and 2; and
  • (c)the facilitated workshops.

However there are some changes to the workshops. The following workshops will not be offered as face-to-face workshops this time but will be available online for all registrants: A: Poetry analysis in Junior Secondary; B. Writing: the conversational essay; F: Setting, Senses and Script ;  L: Supporting EAL/D learners.

Workshop F: Setting, Senses and Script and Workshop K: Using Portfolio based assessment will be offered at State Conference.

WHAT IS BEING RECORDED?

The keynote address and one workshop in each session will be live streamed. Other workshops (except for F and K) and the facilitated workshops after lunch are being recorded and will be available to all registrants.

The printed program is available but it does not include changes from 2 March

 

Closing date for registrations has now been extended to Tuesday 8 March but earlier registrations will be appreciated.

When selecting workshops, you may choose any of workshops C, D, E, G, I, J, or K  OR Extended Writing Masterclass Option 1, OR Extended Writing Masterclass Option 2. The Extended Writing Masterclass Options run across the two workshop sessions. If you select either of the Extended Writing Options as your first or second choice in session 1, then you should be selecting that same Extended Writing Masterclass Option in the second session.

When you have completed your registration, you will see an on-screen confirmation message and receive an email confirming your registration. If you don't get this confirmation, please contact Trish at adminofficer@etaq.org.au

Please Note: proof of double vaccination will be required to enter the venue.

Cancellation Policy

If you register for physical attendance and have to:

  • cancel you will receive a refund of the physical attendance fee as it is assumed you will still engage with the online event.

Registration fees for this event will be made up of two components:

  • a base (or common) registration fee
  • physical attendance charge to cover catering, venue charges etc.
