Acting on advice from the health authorities, we have very reluctantly cancelled this event.
Literature is the lifeblood of the English classroom and we all endeavour to make our classrooms creative spaces, helping students to experience the pleasures of responding to and creating literature. This seminar will explore diverse ideas related to creativity in English.
The keynote address What is now proved was once only imagined will be presented by Assoc. Professor Kim Wilkins, UQ, Award winning Brisbane-based author and teacher of Creative Writing, This will be followed by two sessions of workshops.
The program is available here. Venue is Brisbane Grammar School. The AGM and keynote address will be held in the Centenary Hall (frst building inside the entrance) and workshops will be in the Lilley Centre. Confirmation of registration - If you are registering online, you will get an on-screen confirmation message and then an email confirming your registration. As all workshops listed on the program may not actually run, (it will depend numbers registering for each workshop), you are asked to choose a first and second preference for each session.
Places will be allocated in the order that registrations are received. Online registrations are downloaded on the day of registration and this data is not revisited. If you have to make a change please email me.with the details. Cancellation Policy - We realise that circumstances may change after you register. Schools may replace one person with another but please let me know so the appropriate Certificate of Participation and personal program can be prepared.
If you cancel by Sunday 15th March, you will receive a full refund, by Wednesday 18th March a 50% refund. After Wednesday no refund is possible. Book Sales - ETAQ will be selling a range of texts on the day, including the newly released Creating Micro Stories (at left) and Creative Horizons 1 by Mel Dixon.

We will also be clearing some earlier copies - check out the half-price table for some great bargains.
