March Seminar 2020: Diving Deep into Story

This event has been cancelled

Acting on advice from the health authorities, we have very reluctantly cancelled this event.

Literature is the lifeblood of the English classroom and we all endeavour to make our classrooms creative spaces, helping students to experience the pleasures of responding to and creating literature. This seminar will explore diverse ideas related to creativity in English.

The keynote address What is now proved was once only imagined  will be presented by Assoc. Professor Kim Wilkins, UQ, Award winning Brisbane-based author and teacher of Creative Writing, This will be followed by two sessions of workshops.

The program is available here. Venue is Brisbane Grammar School. The AGM and keynote address will be held in the Centenary Hall (frst building inside the entrance) and workshops will be in the Lilley Centre. A map of the school can be found at https://www.brisbanegrammar.com/About/FacilitiesandMaps/Documents/BGS_Map.pdf

Registration  closes on Sunday 15th March at 11:59 pm.

Confirmation of registration - If you are registering online, you will get an on-screen confirmation message and then an email confirming your registration. If you do not get this confirmation, it indicates your  registration has not come through. Contact Trish on trish.purcell@bigpond.com or 0455 464 000.

Book Sales - ETAQ will be selling a range of texts on the day, including the newly released Creating Micro Stories (at left) and Creative Horizons 1 by Mel Dixon.
