Annual State Conference-2015

The Annual State Conference will be held on Saturday 15 August, 2015, with the theme of For the Love of Language and Literature

Keynote speakers will be Prof Bev Derewianka and Mr John Marsden.

The program is now available and can be downloaded. A registration form and the workshop selection form as  Word documents are available for downloading. 

Online registration is now open  and  closed on 9 August

A copy of the program was mailed to all members of ETAQ to arrive at the beginning of term 3. 

Cancellation policy

  • Registration cancelled by MONDAY 10 August: refund of fee less $20
  • Registration cancelled by FRIDAY 14 August: refund of fee less $60
  • Registration cancelled AFTER the conference has begun: NO refund.

Jim Buckley memorial scholarship

In recognition of Jim's outstanding contribution to ETAQ over 20 years as Treasurer and Administration Officer, these scholarships are offered each year to assist  country members to attend ETAQ's annual State Conference. For this purpose, country is defined as north of Gympie and west of Dalby.

The scholarship consists of free registration plus $200 to assist with travel and accommodation expenses. Free registration is also offered to a student in the metropolitan area.

Applications to Fiona Laing, president@etaq.org.au by Sunday 26 July explaining in 100 words why you would be a worthy recipient of a scholarship. Preference will be given to personal members of ETAQ but those covered by corporate membership may apply.

In response to demand, a repeat of  each of Workshops 1A, 1F and 2C have been added to the program.

Workshop 1A, 1D, 1F, 1H, 1I, 2A, 2C, 2D, 2H, 2I, 3A, 3B, 3G  and 3I are now fully booked out.
