Beginning Teachers' Day-2014

The Beginning Teachers' Day designed to support beginning teachers in their first five years of teaching and those new to the teaching of English, will be held on Saturday 10 May 2014 at Brigidine College, Ward Street, Indooroopilly.

The day will consist of a keynote address plus supporting workshops.

This event is subsidised by ETAQ and is available at a cost of $45.00.  For first and second year teachers a special deal of combined membership and registration for the BTD is available for $95. If you wish to take advantage of this offer, please send your foms to trish.purcell@bigpond.com

ETAQ will provide sponsorship of $200 each to three members from outside the South-east corner of Queensland to assist with travel and/or accommodation costs of attending the Beginning Teachers Day.


If you live north of Gympie or west of Dalby, and you are a member of ETAQ, you are welcome to apply. Applications are to be made to ETAQ President, Fiona Laing, flain1@eq.edu.au, explaining your teaching experience and current situation and why you think you would be a suitable recipient.


Applications close on April 28 and successful applicants will be advised by the end of April.  Preference will be given to Full (i.e. personal) members but those covered by school corporate membership are also invited to apply.
