The Darling Downs branch formed in 2001 and has during the last thirteen years provided English teachers in Toowoomba and around the Downs with two, three or four professional development opportunities each year.  These have included:  seminars on Shakespeare, ICTs, poetry, creative writing, NAPLAN and the Australian Curriculum; Spring and Mid-Summer Breakfasts boasting a wide range of interesting speakers, including:  Professor Swannell, Annette Curnow, David Curnow, Gerard Saide, Peter Cullen and The Good Books and Wine event.  We have also combined with ALEA's Darling Downs branch to provide a couple of conferences.

ETAQ conferences always have sessions that make me excited to be a teacher.

I know that ETAQ conferences in the past have never disappointed - valuable, relevant, practical, inspiring so I came again.
