Great Reads for AdolescentsJoy Lawn will present the books that have been CBCA shortlisted this year and the best of this year's new and recent literature - and how to use them in your schools. Joy's presentation will incorporate books for class novels, literature circles, visual literacy, and analysis and appreciation. You will be inspired to return to your schools armed with new books and ideas on how to enthuse and enlighten your students. Great Fiction for Adolescent Readers will include plot synopses, intended readership, themes and suggestions for practical and creative teaching applications.
Afternoon tea will be served from 3:45 to 4:15pm.
