Seminar 1: Curious in Queensland is shaping up to be a very exciting event. We will provide for thought  (and actual food) about units of work that exemplify creativity and curiosity; inquiry as professional learning; and engaging pedagogy. Not quite a Mad Hatter's tea party, but dreadfully good fun nonetheless.

Our keynote speaker Bianca Hewes is an expert practitioner in the field of student inquiry. A teacher and leader dedicated to promoting curiosity and inquiry amongst teachers and students, her keynote address will inspire you to rethink engagement and learning.

Bianca will also offer a workshop designed to give you tools you can use at school to transform the teaching and learning relationship in your classroom.

We are also excited to announce a unique opportunity at this event. Leading literacy and professional learning educators, Michelle Anstey and Geoff Bull, will present a two-hour workshop: Improving literacy outcomes by moving from monologic to dialogic classroom talk. Fancy.

Bu wait, there's more! Truly curious participants will have  the opportunity to continue into the afternoon for a special additional workshop with Michelle and Geoff: Supporting teachers to achieve change in pedagogy and practice through action research and inquiry. Look out for our program in early February for details about how you can be part of this.

The call for presentations is still open - closing 25 January, 2016. We'd especially love to see work that you're doing around complex and higher order thinking.
