Beginning Teachers' Day-2015

The Beginning Teachers Day designed to support beginning teachers in their first 5 years of teaching and those new to the teaching of English, will be held on Saturday 9th May, 2015, at Brigidine College, Ward Street, Indooroopilly.

The day will consist of a keynote address presented by Marian Wright and supporting workshops.

The Program is now available. You will be able to register online after 23rd March or you can register by downloading the Registration form, completing it and sending it to the Administration Officer at trish.purcell@bigpond.com.

ETAQ is offering a bundle of membership for first and second year teachers and registration for the BeginningTeachers' Day at a special price of $95. Membership is usually $99.00. If you wish to take advantage of this offer, you should register by completing this form.

For those who live outside the south-east corner (North of Gympie and west of Dalby), ETAQ offers sponsorship of $200 to assist with travel and accommodation as well as complimentary registration, to 3 teachers in the early part of their career. Applicants for this sponsorship should apply to president@etaq.org.au by Wednesday 8 April explaining why you should be considered in not more than 100 words. 

We are seeking presenters who would like to share resources, experiences, and ideas with those in their first five years of practice as English teachers. Attendees at this event cover a wide range from pre-service teachers to first-year teachers to experienced teachers who are teaching English for the first time.
