Peter Botsman Award
Instituted in 1998, the Peter Botsman Memorial Awards are the mechanism by which ETAQ seeks to recognise the contributions made by members of the Association and others to excellence in English education in Queensland. The late Dr Peter Botsman had a distinguished career in education both in Australia and overseas and his achievements were acknowledged by the award of an Order of Australia. He was ETAQ Patron from 1981 to1987. ETAQ commemorates his contribution to English education in Queensland by making two awards annually for excellence in English education in the state. The first is for classroom practitioners (school category) and the second is for contributions beyond the classroom sphere (beyond-school category).
