About

Our Mission
We seek to promote the study and teaching of English and to provide professional support for those working in the area of English education.

We fulfil the Association’s objectives by:

  • enhancing the professional status of English teachers
  • promoting activities associated with English teaching
  • promoting and exchanging ideas of professional interest to members by meetings, seminars, conferences, discussions and publications
  • cooperating and affiliating with other professional bodies holding similar aims & objectives

National Affiliation       ETAQ is affiliated with the national English teacher body, the Australian Association for the Teaching of English (AATE). ETAQ pays an annual capitation fee to AATE and financial members of ETAQ are automatically members of AATE. The AATE website can be found at www.aate.org.au
