Annual State Conference

The annual ETAQ State Conference will be run at the Anglican Church Grammar School (“Churchie”) at East Brisbane over the weekend 14-15 August. The conference theme is “English in the era of the Australian Curriculum”.
The keynote speakers will be: Saturday morning – Lesley Englert, former EQ Assistant Director General – Curriculum and the Queensland nominee on the ACARA Board with Lynn Redley, ACARA chief writer for English; and Saturday afternoon – Dr Alison Scott, Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Queensland.
