March Seminar

The theme/title is: “Living with external testing: How to prepare kids for NAPLAN and the like and still deliver a balanced, quality English program”.

Keynote speaker: Dr Jill Freiberg, Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University
Supporting workshop sessions are being offered by the following:

  • Kay Bishop from Forest Lake State High School
  • Pat Hipwell from logonliteracy
  • two teachers from Somerville House
  • Ted Kent & Phillipa Grobler from Runcorn State High School

In addition, a session chaired by ETAQ President Garry Collins will provide an opportunity for members to discuss and provide feedback on the draft K-10 English National Curriculum due to be released by ACARA in mid February.
